Welcome to Robert Bruce School, a warm and inclusive TK–6 campus offering a variety of learning and support programs for our students and families. We value strong family partnerships and provide engaging school activities, family nights, and parent education opportunities at convenient times. Together, our dedicated staff and families create a safe, nurturing environment that emphasizes high academic standards, respect, and student success.

SMBSD Celebrates Literacy Initiatives Across 21 School Libraries
In recognition of International Literacy Day today, September 8, as well as National Literacy Month, National Early Literacy Month, and upcoming Adult Education and Family Literacy Week (September 13–19), the Santa Maria-Bonita School District (SMBSD) is highlighting its ongoing commitment to fostering a vibrant reading culture across all 21 of its school sites.

Eight Santa Maria-Bonita School District Students Recognized Through the Dolores Huerta Education Award Program
Eight Santa Maria-Bonita School District (SMBSD) junior high students and their teacher sponsors have been recognized by the Dolores Huerta Education Awards Program through the California Teachers Association (CTA).
This CTA award program provides recognition for educators and their students who demonstrate an understanding of the vision and guiding principles embraced by Dolores Huerta.

The Santa Maria-Bonita School District (SMBSD) will host a comprehensive, two-day Job Expo next month to recruit and hire new personnel to support our 17 elementary schools and four junior high schools. Friday, June 26: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 27: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
